Full Interior Paint
This Craftsman style house in Ottawa's historic district had a bad case of ugly. The handrail was very plain, and the newel posts had a distressed look that didn't seem to fit with the clean white balusters, so we painted it all in a dark, smoky brown called "Black Fox," with a commercial grade single component epoxy. The trim was pre-finished, but all of the nail holes were showing, so we filled the holes, caulked the seams, and painted all of the trim in a nice creamy off white with Sherwin Williams Pro Classic waterborne alkyd enamel. While we were at it, we painted the boring oak cabinets to match the trim. Then, we skim coated the walls to get rid of the existing knockdown texture and painted them all with Sherwin Williams Cashmere Lo Lustre. The main color is called "Dorian Gray," which goes well with the trim and rails, and seems to be a good fit for the spacious layout of this nice 5 bedroom home.
