Exterior Painting in Lawrence, KS
This house in Lawrence was due for a new exterior paint job. The west side in particular was peeling badly, as you can see in the pictures. Because it was built before 1978, we followed the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's Renovation, Repair, and Painting rules; we put up lead hazard tape around the perimeter of the work site, and collected the paint chips in heavy plastic sheeting per the regulations. Because of the amount of paint that came off during the scraping, we applied a coat of Sherwin Williams Prime Rx to the siding and soffits to reduce the "scaly" look sometimes produced by scraping older homes. After the spot priming of the bare wood and the full body primer with Prime Rx, we then applied a nice coat of Sherwin Williams exterior Super Paint in the new color scheme selected by the customer. It looks great!
