This home has been owned by the same family for about 40 years, and they always took good care of the exterior paint, but when it came time to pass the torch, er, brush, to someone younger, they called Absolute Painting. We scraped the loose and peeling paint, and primed the resulting bare wood with an oil-based primer. Then we applied a full scale prime coat of exterior paint we had leftover from other jobs to save the homeowner a little money. We rolled in on with a heavy nap cover to really work the paint into the surface. After that, we sprayed a nice, thick coat of Sherwin Williams SuperPaint exterior satin latex in SW 7594 “Carriage Door” to match the original color.
