We performed this deck staining in Lawrence recently for a past customer. He had replaced a few boards on the floor and the rail tops. First, we pressure-washed the wood to make sure it was clean and ready to take the stain. After letting the wood dry out thoroughly, we brushed and rolled a coat of oil-based stain on the floor and the new rail tops, making sure to work the product into the surface. We also refinished the back door, which was flaking and peeling. We sanded it clean, re-stained it, and put a new coat of exterior grade polyurethane. The new finishes will keep this deck and back door looking great for a while!
